Group Tennis Lesson FAQs
Are group lessons open to all ages?
Yes - we offer group sessions from all ages, from 2 upwards!
What level of tennis is taught?
We provide a wide range of tennis group sessions for players of all abilities, from total newcomers to advanced players.
Do I receive a discount for bulk bookings?
When you book all sessions in a batch/term, you receive a discounted session rate!
How do I know what level of group class I should book?
Adult classes: Please review the level description on the app or website. We recommend booking one lesson at your selected level to ensure it’s a good fit for you. Once you feel comfortable with the class and have had the all clear from the coach, you may choose to book all the lessons in that block at a discounted rate. Please note that group lessons are non-refundable or transferable.
Junior classes: Choose the most applicable group based on age of the child.
Can I hire a tennis racket for my lesson? Are tennis balls provided?
Yes, you can hire a tennis racket for your lesson. Hire costs £15 per lesson per racket. Payment is taken by card when you arrive. Tennis balls are provided for lessons.
What happens if it rains during my group session?
In England, we know the weather can be unpredictable! That is why we do not cancel lessons if the forecast is unfavourable. If the coach deems it impossible to continue with the lesson, arrangements will be made to replace the lost lesson time for those who attended. To be eligible for a lesson refund, members must have attended the lesson in person. Please refer to our Terms and Conditions for more details on player responsibility regarding weather conditions.

I can no longer attend one of the group lessons I booked. Can I transfer my unused group lesson and attend another time/day/class in exchange?
Group lessons are non-refundable and non-transferable.
I’ve booked a lesson with you. How do I find the court?
Check the location on the website or app. Each location has a Google Maps link. Our venues are locked so if you need to enter before your lesson, do not be alarmed if the gate is locked. At the time of your lesson, a coach will come to the gate and let you in. If you are still unsure, please contact the Kensington Tennis support team via the app.
